This line was designed by gyaru model Mai Hirose and come in 2 colours (black and brown)
I have already reviewed the brown pair and i think i can say without a doubt that Starmish are my FAVORITE LINE. I really hope that they produce more colours

I ended up spacing on a lot of the "lens shot"  BUT OMG I LOVE THESE LENS. i have NEVER used black lens before and they just blend so beautifully

I think there are 2 things that you an tell by these photos.
1. i was really struggling with those lower lashes
&
2. THESE LENS ARE GORGEOUS. i even put 2 "sharpen" filters over them and you still can see just how beautiful they still are. their design is perfect for blending :)

Design/Colour:LOVE. SEAMLESS TRANSITION BUT MAKES YOUR EYES POP AND SPARKLY AND BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT

Enlargement: I'm rather used to 15.00 mm but was pleasantly surprised by this diameter! It let my eyes breath more while getting the dolly look. Slightly more natural though

Ok, so i'll admit the title for this entry is pretty lame... BUT anyways, the lovely GeoColouredlenses e-mailed me a month or so ago asking if i'd like to promote the NEW LINE OF PRINCESS MIMI LENS. Design/Colour: Though it looks unassuming these are actually REALLY beautiful :)

STUDYING ABROAD... AGAIN

Hey cupcakes!

So, I wanted to keep this under wraps till i heard back from the program but....

I APPLIED TO A STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM THROUGH NYU TO FLORENCE!

From January 29 till May 17th i will be in Florence studying! I heard back from them on Wednesday morning. I was busy with school studying.

I originally applied for the Paris program BUT it was full, so i switched my application to Florence. I actually applied to the Florence Program during the summer to go for a full year but got rejected. SO NOW IM GOING!

I'm SO excited for a new experience and new friends and just.. a change from my day to day. I've been feeling so restless lately (why i bleached my hair so much a month ago). I really hope i can grow as a person and learn a new language during this time abroad.

I realized after this i will be able to speak, with varying degrees of comptency:
-English
-Norwegian
-Japanese
-French
-Italian

Hopefully it will look good on an application because my GPA is just average xD
I have no clue what this will mean for my blog during this time but im excited for the future :D

Sick Sick Sick + BIRTHDAYYY

Lately I've been SUPPPER busy with school, and this is also why I havent been updating my blog as much  im not just lazy.
This is my first time in 3 years that I've been a full time student with different classes. I am taking
-Mass Media and Society
-Biological Oceanography
-Music Appreciation
-French

And, the past couple weeks i had projects and tests in ALL of them.
Midterm in Mass Media + Final Project Proposal
Bio. Ocean was a 12 minute presentation on shark migration
A quiz in Music
A french dialogue that i wasnt allowed to make a script for
AND
I applied to a study abroad program.. Waiting to hear back is torture xD
I was living on 3 shots of espresso a day and 4-6 hours of sleep. NO ONE LIKES A SLEEP DEPRIVED, CAFFEINATED, STRESSED STUDENT. I am definitely NOT used to dealing with this much school.

Anyways there is a dorm that is used by most students at my school, and everyone got sick there. Because of my weakened immune system i caught the cold too :(
It feels like half my school is sick right now...

I haven't really had the mental capacity to update lately with everything going on
But I do have some stuff (food post) to share :) i just need to get around to uploading the photos.

ALSO! ON NOVEMBER 5TH IM TURNING 19

I know that it will be a week of celebration, mostly because of celebrating with different parts of the family. Maybe I'll even do a birthday giveaway... ;)

November Popteen Scans though, are going up either tonight or tomorrow!

MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR LENS PROPERLY FIT WITH YOUR OPTICIAN

At the beginning of September  EyeCandyLens contacted me for a review! I was a bit apprehensive because of some of the previous reviews i have read about the company, were not so good, but with the bad there were also good.

I wasnt asked specifically to review the company but I cant ignore this, I had major E-Mailing problems with the EyeCandyLens. I had to follow up after the first week because they didn't get back to me, another time after that, even after those two messages they didn't quite answer my questions, I felt like I was bothering them,  and then i thought I was getting a certain pair of lens but they were out of stock so they sent me another pair (which was on my list!) but they didn't let me know.

I continued with them anyways and I was quite happy with what i got :)

EyeCandyLens has SO many designs, from cosplay to natural for any look that you are going for, FREE shipping, and an awesome rewards program for those spend a certain amount and if you aren't sure about payment they accept both credit and debit through paypal.

If you do follow them on Twitter or Facebook you also get notifcations about specials and discounts.

They sent out the lens on the 19th and i received them on the 29th. I had a lot more photos but once i looked at them on my computer i realized how BLUE they turned out :/

Okay, first of all I LOVE THEIR BOOKLET! I did get a lens fitting so I know how to care and put in my lenses but the illustrations were SO cute and informative!

MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR LENS PROPERLY FIT WITH YOUR OPTICIAN

Also I appreciated how they included a card for me to write down when i recieved the lens and when i should toss them. I always forget when i get them (AND HAVE TO LOOK BACK AT MY OLD REVIEWS LOL)

 Inside Light

 Outside

I think these lens are GORGEOUS! They are really flexible and dont dry my eyes out. I did have a problem with them centering on my eyes though. So quite often id get a case of my eyes looking like they are looking in two different directions.
And especially with the lighter center, its noticeable.

Design/Colour: Okay, I love the design. There is such a beautiful gradient and really makes your eyes POP! I adore the lighter center, but because they don't center on my eyes as well it makes it really noticeable At the same time look more or less natural. This design is perfect for the EMODA look!
5/5 -100%

Comfort: These lens are perfectly thin and flexible. I seriously forgot i was wearing them after a few minutes. I do have dry eyes so  After 5 hours I do have to put in eyedrops though. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR LENS PROPERLY FIT WITH YOUR OPTICIAN
4/5 - 80%

Enlargement: I'm so used to wearing 15.00 mm at this point 14.5 seemed a bit small. I consider them more like 14.00. If you want a more natural look these would be perfect but i love having big dolly eyes so for me it was a bit small.
3.5/5 - 70%

Overall: I really like these lenses. I wear them when i want to just add a little drama to my eyes without being like BAM! FAKE EYES! Also i really like the colour. I would highly recommend these for those who prefer the natural look, and the dramatic.
~4/5- 83%

I had so much fun pretending to be an "edgy" model. My mom kept laughing at me.

Sorry for being so M.I.A > , <;

Bloggers

So I've been such a lazy blogger. But that will change. I've recently started talking to the darling Airi a lot and we've become friends! SHES TOTALLY INSPIRING ME TO BLOG AGAIN. UGH SHES SO PERF AND ADORBS.

ANNNNYWAYS... when I started regularly blogging (Febuary 2012) I signed up for a website called Bloggers. It's kind of like a host site/networking site, by their words " like a big cafe where authors can meet each other, send private message and invite friends and relatives."

Well, I got featured on their site a while back (May)

I was SO surprised, I don't feel like my blog necessarily has that kind of "commercial" appeal- and this was like, a month after I had signed up.

I did tag myself with "gyaru" and like to regularly check that tag. I've seen some pretty interesting blogs through that and...

I AM NOW THE NUMBER 1 GYARU BLOGGER THAT'S TAGGED AND REGISTERED ON THE SITE!

Granted there aren't that many people on the site using the tag gyaru, but to me it means quite  a lot. Kind of like, 'HEY GUYS, IM PROFICIENT AT SOMETHING'

Well, I just wanted to say, it means a lot, thank you so much and, I hope you continue to support me. This has reinvigorated my  blogging spirit along with my darling Airi

A Week In Paris...

Before I start going into the details of my trip id like to say

I Love Paris
Anyways --

We drove to Paris from Geneva which was about 6 hours! And of course during that time we had to stop and use the bathroom... I HAVE SUCH DIFFICULTY WITH SQUATTING TOILETS. it was like a weird torture/exercise.

First thing we see driving in

When we first got into Paris I was in awe and horror at the driving! Especially because it changed so drastically from country side to City

Look at this little grandma! SHE DONT GIVE A FUCK! AND PARKS ON THE SIDEWALK. This would not pass in the States. at all hahah

After we got settled we called room service and just had a bite to eat. I had french onion soup... in France... So then right away we left to go watch the Barber of Seville!

It was quite funny and I was laughing the whole while. But no one else was! It's a comedy though so... But for the first act i had to force myself not to fall asleep. The Opera was in Italian with French subtitles and jet lag and i don't understand either languages. It was kind of a mess till intermission when i got a shot of espresso. After that I was awake and able to enjoy everything

The next day we walked ALL DAY! from 11 till 5!! CRAZY LAH!
We also did a LOT LOT LOT of tourist stuff. It started at the Arc De Triumph - which was a beautiful view.

And then for lunch we went to Pierre Hermé and got a macaroon lunch! not the healthiest... but definitely delicious

Honestly these are the best you can get in France. i tried other ones, it just doesnt compare....

Then we walked over the the Eiffel Tower but it was PACKED so we just enjoyed the architecture

LIKE, THATS HOW BEAUTIFUL IT WAS. REAL TIME. i just cant get over it! This also really helped with the jetlag so after the tower we caught the metro back to the hotel. We were all craving our "normal flavors" - foods we eat normally - so my sister took us to a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant on the outskirts of town.

It was THE best pho/bo bun i've ever had! for like... 5 euro too!
LOOK AT THAT DELICIOUSNESS!

The next day we went shopping! I got some new awesome shoes, went to a pharmacy, got some new makeup and truffles. SOOOO French pharmacies are the most amazing thing known to makeup kind. Its like the holy place of skin care.

We even had time to stop by the LEGENDARY Angelinas :)

They are known very well for their hot chocolate. This stuff is seriously like drinking a bar of the smoothest semisweet chocolate you can imagine. I liked to order a shot of espresso and mix it with a half cup of hot chocolate, like the picture above.

I'm not sure if i've ever mentioned in this blog how much i LOVE truffles. I acquired a taste for them when I went to Italy, and France! has 3 truffle restaurants. They have all the food dedicated to truffles *swoon*.
beef carpaccio with truffle oil, black truffle shavings, truffle salt, pine nuts, and parmesian.

risotto with cream and trufle sauce, with truffle oil and black truffle shavings

Day 7, I went to the natural history museum with my dad and mom. My sister has a hard time sleeping and decided to pass going and sleep in. She studied in france for about 6 months though so its not like she didnt know what she was missing ;)

It was incredible though. These great exhibits of man, nature, and animals. it was kind of surreal walking through the hall of extinction. It started raining just as we were leaving and took shelter in the rose garden. Now, i did have photos of this but it was raining and none of them turned out well enough for me to be happy with putting on my blog.

Anyways it was lunch time and we stopped by the iconic, Le Deux Magots. It was absolutely stuffed from the people trying to avoid the rain so we took a spot on the porch area that is completely open to face the rain and to hopefully avoid the people hahaha

In France we had been taking the Metro EVVVERYWHERE, and everytime I would get seriously Ill. I get panic attacks when in small spaces or crowded + the lack of air circulation. but by Day 7 I was getting comfortable taking it as long as i didnt have to go through the deep tunnels.

The last couple days in France were pretty uneventful. We walked and shopped a lot.. and ate.. a lot. But I cannot deny how much this trip meant to me.
Being in France really helped me realize that average is so much worse than average. Now this started off because pretty much everyone i saw there was GORGEOUS and stylish and i was like MERP! HI! but now im realizing it really applies to my life - dont accept doing average.

Now that i've been back for QUITE a while i realize how much i enjoyed being in Paris and how i feel like i should push myself to be so much better always, and thats why I will be applying to study abroad there in the Spring.

It also helped me move away from Gyaru, and using Japan as my identity. I hid behind it to be cute and to be that nerdy girl, but now i just want to be badass and grow up a little. Japan/Gyaru will always be something i enjoy but i dont feel so dependent on hiding behind it anymore. I'm comfortable being outside of it.

I had been planning on doing a weekly journal entry but honestly nothing quite impacted me like France and after this week I lost the same enthusiasm for taking photos of everything i was doing, and actually do them and enjoy them.

I hope you enjoyed reading the first part of my trip, and gave you small glimpse into what i did :)
Love
